New Digital Fantasy Painting WIP #3
Not that I have abandoned my other painting with the birds but I wanted two to work on the same time. I skipped just the pencil drawing and got the flat colour in here now. I think you know the steps by now if you read the other posts; I always work the same. Not sure where this one is going at the moment but I am think she is really high up in the trees. I might want to get some depth in there and maybe a destination that she is trying to get to. Obviously clothing etc is to come but this is a 10 minute idea...see where it goes next.

New Digital Fantasy Painting WIP #2
As with my other work in progress painting I did here I have decided to do the same thing for the next effort.
As usual I just start with the main figure and then just rough out the background using the basic black brush. Again I am going for roughly the same theme and an outside environment. I am not sure where this is going at the moment but this is what I have so far.

New Digital Fantasy Painting WIP
Before reading on I would like to stress this is not a tutorial so anything that happens is organic and done in sequence. I hate tutorials where you see everything in order and it seems like they finished it and then tacked a tutorial on the end. This is just a real life start to finish of some work. This may even be that I make a mess and it is useless at the end, who knows.

I thought for a change I would post some of early stages of a painting so you can see what is happening. I am fairly quick at painting (4 hours ish) so I don't usually post early stages. I am trying to take more time in paintings and finishing every detail to a better level. One nice thing about working with digital art is that you can play about forever but that is also a bad thing.

Searching

This painting turned out roughly how I wanted it but the background still remains a problem. I have the foreground way to detailed and then the background is too basic. It looks like two different styles because of this and I get the lovely effect of the foreground looking like it is stuck on. I usually have this problem so it is of no surprise. Maybe it can be a new art movement; 'Sticky Fantasy'. On to the next one....

My Digital Fantasy Art Galleries
Over the last year or two I have created some digital fantasy art using photoshop and various tablets. This site is fairly new so it does not have all my work and probably won't for some time. For this reason I am listing a few pages here that will have my fantasy work:
If I sign up for any more websites I will add them later.
